Fourth Sorrowful Mystery: The Carrying of the Cross
So they took Jesus, and carrying the cross himself, he went out to what is called the Place of the Skull, in Hebrew, Golgotha. (John 19:16-17)
With his word and example, Christ showed us the way to follow, in order to reach full and eternal happiness, the constant yearning of our heart. No doubt, we will find on this road trials and thorns, but this should not frighten us; together with the saintly heroes of our faith, Christ has gone before us. (Blessed Guido M. Conforti)
