A Prayer for the Sick
 
Lord God, life is from you.
We wish to pray for all 
who are suffering in hospitals,
and all the sick who are home.
Grant them strength from above
to accept whatever may come 
as their best gift to you.
Give them power to suffer 
with love and patience
without giving up 
on your gift of peace.
 
Your name is great indeed.
You bring us endless peace.
We put out trust in your name
who is above heaven and earth.
All that we have is yours,
watch over us always.
 
Dear Lord, show us the way
we need to live our lives to please you.
Give us ears to listen carefully
to the answers you give to our questions.
Give according to our possibilities and needs,
for we know you love us much, dear God,
Source of all goodness,
Fountain of all blessings.
May we eat and drink with thanksgiving
so that we may do good works
and share your love with one another.
Remain with us, Lord. Amen.
