  Novena
to Blessed Guido Maria Conforti
On
April 6, 1995, Pope John Paul II officially confirmed and accepted
the miracle that happened in Burundi, Africa (in 1965) through the
intercession of Bishop Guido Maria Conforti.
A twelve year old girl, Sabina Kamariza, diagnosed with
pancreatic cancer, was considered to be in a hopeless state by the
doctors. The Xaverian
Sisters, who offered assistance to the family, began a Novena to
Bishop Guido Maria Conforti, which concluded with Mass, at which her
parents attended. As
they returned home from Mass on that October evening of 1965, they
were astonished and incredulous to see their weak and bedridden
daughter, waiting and standing at the door. She was cured and
returned to a normal life. Sabina
Kamariza attended the Beatification ceremonies of Blessed Guido
Maria Conforti at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, on March 17, 1996.

to constantly work for the salvation
of all our brothers and sisters.

who lives and reigns with You,

One God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Intercessions for World Missions
We have come to worship the Lord our God, and to honor the memory of Blessed Guido Maria
Conforti. Through his intercession, let us pray for ourselves, for the missionary efforts of the Church, and for all the people of God.
For missionaries throughout the world, that through the proclamation of the Gospel of salvation, all people may come to know the one true God and Jesus Christ. Let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our prayer
For the Church, that renewed by the Holy Spirit, may continue to show forth to the world the mystery of the Lord, and be an instrument of redemption for all. Let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our prayer
For Christian unity, that the Holy Spirit, dwelling in all who believe, may bring us to that fullness of unity which Jesus desires, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our prayer
For all of us, that moved by God’s loving mercy revealed in Jesus, we may open our hearts to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our prayer
For ourselves, that we may be faithful to bring Christ’s word and love to the world in which we live. Let us pray to the Lord:
Lord, Hear our prayer
Prayer of Blessed Guido Maria Conforti
O God, our Father,
we thank You for the many signs
of Your presence among us.
We thank You for our brothers and sisters
who, despite human weaknesses,
have drawn closer to Jesus Christ, Your Son,
becoming living models of Your Love for us.
Confident in Your kindness and mercy,
we pray through the intercession
of Blessed Guido Maria Conforti,
zealous apostle of Your Reign,
to grant us the Grace that we ask of You.
(pause for personal petitions)
Hear our prayer
that we may feel closer to Your love
and follow Blessed Guido Maria Conforti
in living the Gospel of Jesus, Your Son,
and making it known to all people.
For He lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Prayer for Vocations in the Church (by Blessed Conforti)
O Jesus,
You died for the salvation of all
and founded the Church
to continue the work of redemption on earth.
Increase, we ask You,
the number of those who preach the Gospel.
Strengthen them in their ministry,
sanctify their service,
so that those who have not yet received the gift of faith,
may soon come to know You and love You on earth,
and enjoy You eternally in Heaven.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen
